Review by hotel critic
As a culinary critic and travel writer who has spent a decade in Japan, I find myself navigating the intersection of luxury and value during my hotel stays. My experience at Oddfellows was a fine blend of both, particularly for something reasonably priced near Manchester. Upon arrival, the reception set the tone with friendly service, making check-in seamless. The room was spacious and well-appointed, featuring top-notch air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, which is a must for any traveler. I appreciated the mini-bar and electric kettle for late-night sips. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work; the room and facilities were impeccably clean. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant was a solid choice, although the Sunday menu was limited. Still, it surpassed the monotony of airport fare, while service remained attentive throughout. If you're flying from Manchester, Oddfellows offers a valuable alternative to typical airport hotels, balancing comfort with adequate amenities-making it a practical choice for leisure and business travelers alike.
